Al-Hilal, the most successful club in Algerian football history, has announced that Brazilian superstar Neymar is currently undergoing surgery on his injured leg.
The club made the announcement on Tuesday, just days after Neymar returned to training following a six-week absence due to an ankle sprain.
However, Neymar's recovery time remains unclear and he may be out for several months. The club did not provide any specific timeline for when he will return to play.
Despite the setback, Al-Hilal continues to push forward with their plans for the upcoming season. The club has already signed several new players,La Liga Frontline including Brazilian striker Lucas Hernandez, who has impressed during pre-season training.
"We are confident that Neymar will be back soon," said coach Omar Elhendawi. "We have to wait until the end of the season to see how much time he takes."
While the injury to Neymar is a major blow for Al-Hilal, the club has been working hard to fill the void left by their star player. The club has also secured a number of reinforcements, including Brazilian defender Raul Nuno and midfielder Jairo Santos, who had been linked with moves away from the club.
